À deux pas de la gare, en centre-ville, ce monument de l'hôtellerie, érigé en 1925 pour accueillir les voyageurs de l'Orient-Express en Croatie, renferme d'exceptionnels éléments Art déco: ferronneries, luminaires, marbre… L'écrivain Malaparte y a longuement séjourné et écrit. Entièrement rénovée (spa en sous-sol) une adresse idéale pour découvrir Zagreb, sa douceur de vivre méconnue, ses nombreux restaurants, bars et musées d'art.
La bonne idée: flâner sur le marché aux puces dominical sur la place Britanski (tram n° 1, 6 et 11).
La dernière cachette d'Ibiza: Destino

Cure de jouvence à Capri: Tiberio Palace

Capri, ce n'est pas fini! Pour preuve, un des plus anciens palaces de l'île renaît cette année de ses cendres, avec l'inauguration de nouvelles suites et installations arty. L'architecte d'intérieur Giampiero Panepinto s'est amusé à mixer les styles et les couleurs pour une ambiance sophistiquée et acidulée. Résolument élégante et pétillante. Un de nos pied-à-terre préférés pour goûter aux délices de l'île chère aux artistes et aux poètes.
La bonne idée: la conciergerie de l'hôtel propose un large éventail d'excursions telle cette croisière privée à la découverte des merveilles naturelles et historiques de Capri. Compter 220 € pour 2h30 de navigation et 450 € pour 4h.
The Pand.
Escale romantique à Bruges: The Pand

Coup de cœur pour ce boutique-hôtel de 26 chambres aménagé près des canaux de la Venise du Nord, dans une demeure du XVIIIe. Y bruisse, dans le joli jardin intérieur, l'eau d'une fontaine… Tenue par la famille Vanhaecke, passionnée d'antiquités et d'objets d'art, The Pand (membre des Small Luxury Hotels) possède un charme intemporel que lui confère une décoration inspirée où se côtoient livres anciens, malles Louis Vuitton, fauteuils Chesterfield et appliques griffées Jacques Garcia. Tenant à la fois du boudoir et du cabinet de (belles) curiosités, un havre à l'image de la cité: romantique et précieux.
La bonne idée: ne pas quitter Bruges sans avoir visité le béguinage et flâné sur les berges du lac d'Amour…
Balade d'automne à Barcelone: l'hôtel Indigo

Cette adresse, qui a ouvert ses portes sur la plaza Catalunya en juillet, est un boutique-hôtel plutôt chic de 77 chambres dont la déco s'inspire du «modernisme catalan». Il s'imprègne des quartiers qui l'entourent comme le Gracia (nombreux bars très animés) et El Borne, un des plus vieux de Barcelone. Sur la terrasse plein sud de l'hôtel est logée une belle piscine. Petite cerise sur le gâteau, le minibar dans la chambre avec boissons et snack est gratuit! De quoi se retaper dans cette adresse de charme, après avoir arpenté les collines du parc Güell ou dévalé les nombreuses marches de la Sagrada Familia.
La bonne idée: jusqu'au 27 septembre 2014, s'imprégner de l'univers foisonnant de Gaudi en redécouvrant la célèbre Casa Batlló (www.casabattlo.es) de nuit. Musique live sur la terrasse moderniste de l'Etage Noble, activités, projections et spectacles divers, coktail-dînatoire. Rêverie à Gand: Marriott

Gand est peut-être la plus jolie ville de Flandre après Bruges, et l'hôtel Marriott, bien qu'appartenant à une grande chaîne, est l'un des plus singuliers de la cité. Situé en plein centre-ville, il occupe des petites maisons médiévales réunies sur un quai animé et piétonnier. Les chambres y sont toutes différentes, offrant pour certaines une vue de carte postale sur le vieux Gand, planté de beffrois, de tours et de clochers. Dans un mélange de design et de tradition, le lobby monumental du Marriott, véritable lieu de vie autour du bar et du restaurant, donne le ton d'un endroit très fréquenté par les Gantois.
La bonne idée: se faire une toile à l'occasion du Festival du film qui se tiendra du 14 au 25 octobre (www.filmfestival.be/fr).
Le Japon à Stockholm: Yasuragi

Le Japon vous passionne? Direction la Suède! Stockholm, plus précisément, où vous pourrez dormir dans cet étonnant hôtel qui reproduit à la goutte d'eau près l'atmosphère si spécifique des traditionnels onsen, ces établissements de bain qui sont aussi des hôtels. Ici, à Stockholm donc, tout le monde en kimono! Trois raisons d'aller en Suisse: Clarion Lavaux

Ce très bel établissement se trouve au bord du lac Léman, dans les vignobles de Lavaux: deux excellentes raisons pour y séjourner. Il fut construit en 1964 par l'architecte italien Alberto Sartoris, dont le style rationnel et rigoureux - des lignes, du blanc - a été récemment remis à l'honneur par des travaux effectués dans l'hôtel, ce qui est la troisième bonne raison d'y aller. Entièrement rénové, le Clarion Lavaux dispose de 58 chambres ultra-design et de vastes appartements. Côté sud, vue sur le Léman et les Alpes. Côté nord, sur les vignes, cultivées en terrasses depuis le XIe siècle sur les flancs de la montagne. Le restaurant est prolongé par une grande terrasse donnant sur le lac. Cuisine gastronomique et vins du cru.
La bonne idée: l'hôtel propose une découverte de l'horlogerie suisse dans les ateliers de Claude Meylan. Participation aux différentes étapes du démontage et du montage d'un mouvement de montre. Nuit en chambre double, dîner et transferts: 605 € pour deux.
Kinsterna.
Trésor du Péloponnèse: Kinsterna

Ses aficionados crieront notre infamie de dévoiler ainsi ce si joli secret que nous a soufflé Exclusif Voyages. À 4 heures d'Athènes, à deux pas du monastère Agios Stefanos et un kilomètre de la mer Egée, sur cette péninsule du Péloponnèse un rien à l'écart et du coup si authentique, voici un 5 étoiles qui, en plus d'être un bijou, brille avec discrétion. Le Kinsterna occupe les murs d'un manoir classé du XIIIe siècle. La pierre y est un élément fort et précieux, elle raconte l'histoire du lieu et sublime ses espaces (les 27 chambres, la piscine et le spa). Décoration actuelle, élégante et dans les tonalités minérales. On aime: les terrasses du restaurant en surplomb du bassin zen et le belvédère pour sa vue panoramique.

Le Portugal côté dunes: The Oitavos

À 30 min de Lisbonne, sur la côte d'Estoril, on s'installe à l'hôtel Oitavos pour (re) découvrir l'axe Cascais-Sintra. Sublime cadre naturel, vallonné de dunes sauvages fouettées par l'Atlantique. Climat vivifiant et paysages propices aux belles balades, comme aux cures de bien-être proposées par le spa de la marque biologique Voya. Piscines intérieure et extérieure à l'eau de mer, rituels à base d'algues ramassées artisanalement, chambres ouvertes sur l'extérieur, sports de plein air, cuisine saine et savoureuse… tout a été pensé pour une parfaite harmonie avec la nature. Un lieu revitalisant par excellence.

Une balade à Minorque: Torralbenc

Minorque, l'anti-Ibiza, perle des Baléares aux plages rares, a vu s'ouvrir l'an dernier son premier hôtel 4 étoiles. Erigé sur les vestiges d'un village médiéval, dans une vaste propriété viticole de 70 ha où se niche la piscine, le Torralbenc (affilié Small Luxury Hotels) cache derrière ses murs immaculés 25 chambres auxquelles s'ajoutent 2 cottages pour des séjours plus privatifs. Bois et calcaire pour les matières, luxe discret pour laisser s'installer vos rêveries balnéaires… Une belle adresse à 15 min de Mahon, pour s'évader le temps d'un week-end.
La bonne idée: découvrir les merveilles sous-marines de cette île classée Réserve de la biosphère par l'Unesco depuis 1993 grâce au forfait proposé par l'hôtel. A partir de 714 € les 2 nuits avec petits déjeuners, 3 plongées encadrées et un cocktail au coucher du soleil.
Quand Vienne s'amuse: 25Hours Hotel

210 € la nuit en Panorama Suite (00.43.1.521.510 ; www.25hours-hotels.com).
Ouvert il y a trois ans dans le quartier Der Siebte (il est à Vienne ce que Soho est à Londres) le 25Hours Hotel est en décalage total avec l'idée que l'on se fait de la capitale autrichienne. La surprise, c'est sa décoration, qui fait référence aux arts forains et au cirque. Sans être omniprésents, objets (massues de jongleur, veste queue-de-pie rouge et chapeau claque de Monsieur Loyal, etc.) et couleurs font que l'adresse pétille et charme. Dans les chambres, en guise de tête de lit, des fresques rétro montrent acrobates et diseuses de bonne aventure. Optez pour les Panorama Suites prolongées d'une terrasse où trône… une baignoire sur pieds! Vue exceptionnelle sur le centre-ville, comme depuis la terrasse du bar lounge au sixième étage. Une adresse étonnante tout à côté du quartier des musées.
La bonne idée: du 2 au 5 octobre ne manquez pas la Viennafair dédiée à l'art contemporain (www.viennafair.at).
Douceurs toscanes: Castiglion Del Bosco

Propriété de Massimo Ferragamo, le Castiglion Del Bosco occupe un village médiéval entièrement restauré dont les terres s'éparpillent sur 4 500 hectares entre vignes, forêts et collines à 20 min de Sienne. Ouvert en 2009, ce domaine qui cultive les pépites du terroir toscan (vignobles du prestigieux Brunello di Montalcino, oliveraies centenaires, truffes) loge ses hôtes dans les anciennes écuries et la maison de maître, et, pour des séjours plus exclusifs, dans des villas avec piscine. L'ancien presbytère abrite l'académie culinaire et l'Osteria, l'un des deux restaurants du site. Complètent ces lieux bénis un golf 18 trous signé Tom Weiskopf, un spa Daniela Steiner, une splendide piscine chauffée.
La bonne idée: les dimanches 28 septembre, 12 et 18 octobre, et en novembre, embarquer à bord d'un train à vapeur au départ de Sienne ( www.trenonatura.terresiena.it ) pour une croisière à la journée. Une autre manière de découvrir les trésors de la campagne toscane. 29 €.
